When I talk to her readers, their intensity often surprises me. “Her books saved my life,” or “I’ve read A Wrinkle in Time every year since fifth grade,” or “I wrote to her when my father died and I still have her response.” What is it about her work that continues to inspire and delight, more than seventy years since she published her first novel?
