Greetings everyone!
Léna Roy here, one of Madeleine L'Engle's granddaughters. I have been working on following in her rather LARGE footsteps in the world of fiction for many years now, and am thrilled to report that my very first novel for Young Adults is coming out this fall, to be published by Farrar, Straus, Giroux! It is called EDGES, and the publication date is December 7th, 2010 (just in time for the holidays, nudge, nudge!)
I have also begun a BLOG, called Léna's Lit Life, in which I will be blogging about anything and everything literary, from my own process and path to publication, to reminiscences about my grandmother, Madeleine L'Engle, to book reviews, author interviews, and my other passion - workshopping writing with kids and teens!
Follow me into the blogosphere if you will! Comments and requests are appreciated!

Greetings one and all!
My grandmother has been in my heart and thoughts this fall as I've been promoting the May publication of the excavated manuscript The Joys of Love and the September republication of The Austin Family Chronicles. We honored her in September on the first anniversary of her death, (and my mom has written something too about that) and she is especially in my consciousness today, November 29th, her 90th birthday. On this occasion, I wanted to share with you all a piece I have written about my grandmother and what she leaves behind.
We have created a blog to share these two pieces with everybody and invite you to leave your comments and thoughts. Please forward to anybody you think would be interested, and apologies for any cross-postings!

Look for an event sometime in November, to commemorate Madeleine's birthday. She would have been ninety! It will be for lovers of A Wrinkle in Time. Lena will be leading a dramatic workshop that is open to children of all ages who were touched by the book.
Lena Roy is a writer and mother of three living on the Upper West Side of New York City. Her YA book The Moonflower will be published in 2010 by Farrar, Straus & Giroux.

The Austin Chronicles Are HERE!
We are thrilled to announce that the entire series of Austin books are being repackaged, redesigned, and republished for a new generation of young readers!
From the Square Fish press release:
In 2007, forty years after the original publication of Madeleine L¹Engle¹s Newbery Award-winning classic A Wrinkle in Time, Square Fish repackaged and republished the author¹s books about the Murry family as The Wrinkle in Time Quintet. The incredible sales of this set in its first year, along with the outpouring of public grief and support following Madeleine L¹Engle¹s passing in September 2007, are evidence of the enduring nature of the author¹s stories and her status as one of the most beloved children¹s authors of all time. Now, for Fall 2008, Square Fish is delighted to present Madeleine L¹Engle¹s books featuring Vicky Austin and her family, grouped together as The Austin Family Chronicles for the first time. These five novels tell the stories of Vicky and the rest of the Austins as they grow individually as people, and together as a family‹through crises and travels, love and conflict, and the joys and sorrows of daily life.
